AWS – Amazon FSx now supports FIPS 140-2 validated endpoints
Amazon FSx, a fully managed service that makes it easy to launch and run feature-rich and highly-performant file systems, now offers Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) 140-2 validated endpoints to help you protect sensitive information. FIPS 140-2 is a U.S. and Canadian government standard that specifies the security requirements for cryptographic modules that protect sensitive information. U.S. Federal agencies and companies contracting with the U.S. Federal government can leverage this validation to help them better meet the FIPS security requirement to encrypt sensitive data on their Amazon FSx file systems.
