AWS – Applications using Amazon SNS to send SMS text messages can now be hosted in US West (N. California)

Customers that use Amazon Simple Notification Service (Amazon SNS) can now send SMS text messages from the US West (N. California) region to mobile users. Using Amazon SNS, customers can send a message directly to a phone number, or can send a message to multiple phone numbers at once via Amazon SNS topics. Customers can send SMS text messages to more than 200 countries.
